Ruby-Collins provided complete site civil work supporting Parrish Construction in the development of the new Field House at St. Pius X Catholic High School in Atlanta. The 26,000-square-foot facility, located behind Maloof Stadium, serves as part of the school’s $14.2 million Ring the Bells Capital Campaign.
The facility, which opened in early 2024, features modern locker rooms, an expanded strength and conditioning center, athletic training rooms, coaches’ offices, and classrooms. Site work enabled construction of this state-of-the-art athletic facility, providing essential infrastructure to support the school’s football program and broader athletic department needs.
Construction required careful coordination to minimize debris, maintain campus access, and avoid disrupting ongoing school operations and sports activities while meeting Parrish Construction’s productivity schedule. Sewer pipe installation presented technical challenges with approximately 200 linear feet of boring in constrained conditions between the athletic field sidewalk and stadium. Mixed soil and rock conditions ultimately required transitioning from boring to open-cut excavation after navigating critical areas, with successful installation completed without impacting surrounding facilities.
