Scope

The Richland Creek Trunk Sewer project consisted of replacing and upsizing approximately 14,000 LF of mostly 42-inch ductile iron pipe outfall sewer trunk line and gravity trunk sewer along the Richland Creek corridor from Cleveland Park to Rutherford Road in Greenville, South Carolina. Installation was completed primarily via open-cut, with additional work utilizing CIPP, pipe-bursting, and jack and bore methods. All work was performed within road right-of-ways and utility easements alongside the Richland Creek corridor.

Unique Challenges

The project presented significant construction challenges, including extensive rock blasting, high-volume bypass pumping operations, and multiple creek crossings. Ruby-Collins navigated these obstacles to deliver the project while maintaining safety and minimizing environmental impact along the sensitive Richland Creek corridor.
