Scope

The Peachtree Creek Trunk Stabilization project encompassed the cleaning, lining, and grouting of a large-diameter sewer system across a diverse and highly sensitive set of project sites in Atlanta. Ruby-Collins’ scope included design and permitting, bypass pumping and flow diversions, traffic control, erosion and sediment control, and thorough preconditioned cleaning of 16,500 LF of 90-inch diameter pipe. Work also included CCTV inspection, removal of encrustation, corroded concrete, manhole rungs, intruding laterals, and other debris, followed by installation of 10,500 LF of PVC lining and 6,000 CY of grouting.

The project spanned a uniquely challenging array of locations including two golf courses, a city park, a gated community, a private school athletic field, and multiple heavily traveled roadways — requiring careful coordination and minimal disruption throughout construction.

Unique Challenges

This project required significant interface with the community which required public meetings, meetings onsite, coordination with Memorail Park, and working with the two golf courses we worked on.
