Lake Lure, NC This design-build project involves installing a sanitary sewer along the lake bed to replace aging infrastructure. The Town is securing funding incrementally, resulting in scope extensions through amendments. Early amendments covered design, while later ones address construction. The design has shifted from a gravity sewer to a low-pressure force main with intermittent lift stations, with some segments installed via HDD. The total new sewer length is 100,000 LF.
Working in the bottom of a lake on varying terrain. We perform work in the winter when the lake levels can be manulipated with the dam and utilize barges to access areas around site.
