Scope

The Johns Creek Environmental Campus Membrane System Upgrade & Expansion project involves a design-build partnership between Ruby-Collins, the Owner, and Engineer to develop and implement a comprehensive series of plant upgrades and improvements. The immediate scope includes membrane replacement to accommodate 15 MGD of treatment capacity with a future expansion path to 20 MGD, replacement of UV disinfection equipment, and review of ancillary improvements including an emergency pumping system for the pipe gallery, aeration equipment upgrades, flow equalization of biological trains, and a sludge rotating drum thickener. The project is divided into two phases — Phase 1 covering design through 90% and GMP proposal, and Phase 2 covering final design and construction — with Phase 1 further broken into 60% design and equipment selection, and GMP design. Constructability review and cost analysis are being provided throughout Phase 1.
