LF of 36", 42", and 54-inch ductile iron transmission main

Scope

The Highway 41 Water Main Replacement project is located in Cobb County along Highway 41 between Franklin Road and Herodian Way. The scope consisted of approximately 10,000 LF of 36-inch, 42-inch, and 54-inch ductile iron pipe water transmission main connecting to the Cobb County-Marietta Water Authority’s existing transmission system, along with approximately 6,000 LF of 16-inch ductile iron pipe water distribution main connecting to the Marietta BLW existing distribution system. Installation was primarily open-cut with jack and bore and hand mining utilized where required. Extensive traffic control and coordination with GDOT was maintained throughout construction along this heavily traveled state highway corridor.
