Scope

The 48″ Raw Water Main project consisted of installing approximately 635 LF of buried 48-inch Restrained Ductile Iron Pipe, along with two 42-inch wet tap connections to an existing 48-inch Prestressed Concrete Cylinder Pipe (PCCP). The scope also included two 48-inch line stops on the existing PCCP, as well as the abandonment and grout filling of the existing pipeline.

Unique Challenges

This project required connecting to the existing PCCP water main at two locations while keeping the main in service. This was accomplished with flow through line stops.
