Job Overview
As a critical leader in our work acquisition strategy, the Proposal & Pursuit Manager will spearhead the development of high-quality proposals, Statements of Qualifications (SOQs), and interview preparations that showcase our capabilities. This role will collaborate closely with executive leadership, operations, and business development teams to deliver client-focused solutions for complex water/wastewater infrastructure projects, including Design-Build and CMAR pursuits.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead Pursuits: You will manage the full proposal lifecycle – from initial kickoff and capture planning to
final submission and award.
- Create Compelling Content: Write and edit persuasive, client-focused narratives for proposals, SOQs,
and award submissions that clearly tell our story.
- Interview Coaching: Lead shortlist presentation development and coach our technical teams to ensure
they are ready for high-stakes client interviews.
- Brand Management: Design and update proposal templates, interview layouts, infographics, and other
visual communication materials within our brand standards.
- Data & Compliance: Maintain our Unanet CRM records, project resumes, and proposal libraries to
ensure consistent quality and strict compliance.
- Strategic Support: Collaboratively assist in shaping and executing both our internal and external
marketing strategies.
Qualifications & Requirements
- A/E/C Expertise: Proven proposal/marketing experience within the Architecture, Engineering, or
Construction industries.
- Pursuit Strategy: Dedicated experience focused on pursuit strategy, with water and wastewater market
experience considered a major plus.
- Strategic Writing: A proven ability to discover and write “The Win Theme” – someone who goes beyond
simple proofreading to craft narratives that beat the competition.
- Technical Software: Advanced proficiency in Adobe InDesign, alongside expertise in the full Creative
Cloud suite and MS Office.
- Leadership Presence: The ability to command a room, comfortably manage executive-level
stakeholders, and thrive under tight deadlines.
- Location: You are based in or can comfortably commute to our Smyrna, GA headquarters.
- Compliance: Valid driver’s license with a clean MVR, the ability to pass a pre-employment drug
screening/physical, and authorization to work in the U.S.
